ALFREDO J. RUIZ
ACTOR
PC: TONY MOUX
Alfredo is an actor and creative based between New York and Miami. He’s at his best when performing off-beat characters that are either comedically oblivious or profoundly anguished.
Alfredo’s been on regional theatre stages and, most recently, network television. His independent film work has been screened and awarded in several national festivals. When he’s not acting he’s recording terrible music in his home studio.
JUST FINISHED: Guest Star on Chicago Med (NBC)
THEATRE
In Miami, Alfredo’s stage work was mostly immersive theatre. World premiers like 7 Deadly Sins, directed by Michel Hausmann/Moises Kaufman (Miami New Drama) and Wynwood Stories, directed by Tai Thompson (Juggerknot Theatre Co.).
While in Cleveland, Alfredo worked primarily as an actor at the historic, Tony Award winning Cleveland Play House (The Play That Goes Wrong, Pride & Prejudice, Amadeus).
Alfredo has found a lot of dissatisfaction in the modern theatre and has recently begun creating his own work that blurs the lines between reality and performance. His most recent work: Chicken Finger is a wholesome one man comedy show.
Alfredo has a knack for British farces. Here’s some footage of him playing Max in The Play That Goes Wrong at Cleveland Play House directed by Melissa Rain Anderson.

MUSIC
Alfredo has married musicality with his dramatic imagination to produce Adult Programming. A solo project that exorcises the collective anxiety plaguing two of the most disenchanted generations in American history: Millennials and Gen Z.
For his debut EP, Alfredo got the opportunity to work with, indie pop legend and personal hero, Kevin Barnes from of Montreal on Guilty Party.
Alfredo has been commissioned to sound design for various theatrical productions and films using his original music (Cleveland Play House, Willow Theatre, Tenderenda Theatre, Pioneer Winter Collective, Silver Tounged Stages).
